We welcome a new superintendent, Bill Strom, to Ellsworth starting July 1st.
Here is a little introduction from Mr. Strom:
I grew up in Marshall, Minnesota (1977 graduate of MHS). Since the fall of 1985, my wife Cheri and I have called Mountain Lake our home. We raised our two children (Maryn & Matt) in Mountain Lake. They are now grown, married, and living in San Diego and Minneapolis.
For the past 25 years, I've been the superintendent of schools at Mountain Lake. Prior to that, I was the administrator at the non-public school in Mountain Lake for 14 years. Cheri, my wife of 40+ years, is a 5th grade teacher, but is retiring this year. I am also retiring, but I'm not ready to get out of “the game” just yet. The part-time opportunity in Ellsworth will be a great fit for me. I'm grateful to the Ellsworth School Board for giving me the opportunity to work with all of you. And, I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone at Ellsworth the next few years.
My hobbies? Anything to do with the grandkids (especially games & puppets). Also, about 10 years ago, I picked up running again. I like to golf, and stay active.
