Letter from the Superintendent's Office:
Panther Nation, it is my pleasure to introduce myself. My name is Robert Routh. My wife, Sara, and I are high school sweethearts from NRHEG in New Richland, MN. Both of us graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2000. After spending our honeymoon in Colorado, we decided to go on a journey and leave southern Minnesota comforts for the unknown of big city life near Denver, CO. What was supposed to be just a few years ended up being thirteen. During those thirteen formative years, I worked as a middle school English teacher, School Librarian, and Dean of Students/Activities Director while also coaching football, wrestling, and softball. The schools I worked for primarily had over 2000-students in 9-12 high schools.
In addition, learning became a passion as two graduate degrees were finished including a Superintendent's license. Eventually, family beckoned us home. Upon returning to Minnesota in 2014, my goal was to become a master educator while continuing my journey as a head wrestling coach. Since then, the English classroom was my home and passion mostly at United South Central in Wells, MN. Becoming a superintendent has always been a part of my future, I just had other motivations first - teaching as a lifestyle. My strength and passion is kids and learning. My hope is I bring those passions with me but just in a different role.
I am excited to be on this journey with you, Panther Nation. Have a great summer and see you soon.
Robert Routh
